Watchtower Hosting, Inc. owns several servers which are located in three different facilities around South Bend, Indiana.  Each facility is run by different companies with separate backbone providers.  This allows us to move systems around if there are any disruptions at one particular facility.

Backup Process

You can trust your data with us!  All of our websites and databases are backed up every night to redundant servers and then backed up once more to our office each evening.  This means that your data at any given moment is stored in three different places:  the live server, the on-site backup server, and a backup server in our office.

The backup process itself is done via a secure compressed pipe to ensure that your data is safe and secure while in transit.  

We own it!  There are a lot of companies out there simply reselling hosting space and other services.  We don't.  We own all of our servers, and support and maintain them ourselves.  Our designers and programmers write their own code by hand and do not rely on WYSIWYG systems.

Why is that important?

Owning your own equipment and building what's under the hood, so to speak, means that we are extremely familiar with what we do.  This may not seem like an important issue...until there is a problem or an emergency.  We are able to respond quickly and accurately when there is a problem or emergency.  You will rarely hear excuses about third parties from us.

The Exception

We do maintain our servers in a data center.  We also maintain working backup servers at our office in case of a hardware failure and offsite data backups.  With our requirements of back up power and redundant Internet connections we sleep better at night knowing that our equipment and your data is secure in a local facility built for companies like ours.
